主講人簡介👨🏻‍💼:中科院生化與細胞所研究員,研究組長,博士生導師🙅,所長助理🥙。1998年獲Tulane University分子細胞生物學博士學位。19992005年在加州大學分子生物學研究所先後為博士後及助理研究員🌺,2006年任上海生化細胞所研究員,博士生導師。目前任國際期刊《JBC》👩‍👩‍👦‍👦🧑🏼‍🦲、《TRANSCRIPTION》編委🫑🤌🏻,以及《中國細胞生物學報》編委,中國細胞生物學學會秘書長。百人計劃和上海浦江人才計劃獲得者。曾擔任國家重大科學研究計劃首席科學家。獲國務院特殊津貼及中國科EON4優秀指導教師獎、朱李月華優秀教師獎。

講座簡介🧑🏻‍🔬: Mediator is a multi-protein complex that is required for gene transcription by RNA polymerase II. Multiple subunits of the complex show specificity in relaying information from signals and transcription factors to the RNA polymerase II machinery, thus enabling control of the expression of specific genes. Recent studies from us and other have also provided novel mechanistic insights into the roles of Mediator in epigenetic regulation, transcriptional elongation, termination, mRNA processing, noncoding RNA activation and super enhancer formation. Based on these specific roles in gene regulation, Mediator has emerged as a master coordinator of development and cell lineage determination. Recent advances in understanding the mechanisms of Mediator function will be provided, with an emphasis on its role during development and disease.
