主講人簡介🧑🏼‍🏭：Iain Searle博士於2008年獲得澳大利亞昆士蘭大學博士學位，隨後在德國Max Planck Institute、英國John Innes Centre進行博士後研究工作；2009年起到澳大利亞國立大學成立實驗室🚣🏿；2013年起到澳大利亞阿德萊德大學工作🚶‍♀️，目前為澳大利亞阿德萊德大學遺傳與進化系系主任、教授，中澳谷類與健康聯合中心主任。主講人的研究興趣是小RNA在植物發育及抗逆中的作用。在Science、Genes & Development 、The Plant Cell💃🏽、EMBO Journal、BMC Plant Biology等期刊上發表研究論文40多篇。

講座簡介：

We are interested in the mechanisms underlying reproductive development. Through a combination of forward and reverse genetic screens in Arabidopsis we have uncovered an essential role for RNA modifications, most likely on long RNAs, during egg and pollen cell development. We have also shown a complex landscape of long non-coding RNAs during endosperm development. Recently, we demonstrated an important role for guanine-N1-methylation on tRNAs during vegetative and reproductive growth stages in Arabidopsis. Collectively, our data is illuminating a complex and essential landscape of non-coding RNAs and RNA modifications during growth and development in plants.
